GETTING QUOTES

A better quote starts with a clearer request.

The property details that help a contractor understand your driveway before replying.

Start with the property

Include the complete service address and a reliable way to reach you. If the billing address is different, make that clear when arranging service.

Measure the part of the driveway you want cleared. Describe any additional areas separately so a contractor can distinguish the driveway from walkways, steps or a second parking area. An outline and a written description work together.

Mention the details a map cannot show

A top-down view does not explain how you use the property in winter. Add a few practical notes instead of asking the contractor to guess.

  • Whether the driveway is shared with a neighbour.
  • Where vehicles are normally parked.
  • Any gate, narrow entrance or access restriction.
  • A steep section or surface feature to discuss.
  • Where snow can be placed, and any areas to avoid.
  • Whether you need driveway-only service or additional clearing.

Ask for the information you need back

Ask the company to confirm route availability, the included work, the total price and its service terms. If you have a preferred start date, include it.

Plow Me Already! lets you carry the same property details into requests for your chosen companies. Review each recipient and request before sending from your email app. Keeping a copy of your request also makes it easier to compare the replies and spot any differences in scope.

Put your driveway on the map.

Start with your address, measure the clearing area and choose who to ask for quotes.
