How the zoom scale works
At latitude 45.4215° N and Google Maps zoom 20, one logical map pixel represents about 0.1048 metres. Corners are stored as map coordinates, so zooming and resizing do not change the area.
This uses a flat, north-up map. Tilted Google Earth screenshots need a different calibration. Google’s map coordinate reference.
Keyboard: focus the drawing surface, move with arrow keys, press Enter to add a corner, and Backspace to undo. Hold Shift for finer adjustments.
