DRIVEWAY PLANNING
Measure your driveway before you ask for quotes.
Outline the area you need cleared, then use the size to plan your snow removal budget.
Find and confirm your home
Start with your property address in the driveway tool. When Google satellite imagery loads, check that the house and driveway belong to the property you want serviced. Confirm the house before drawing.
Use a view that makes the driveway edges easy to identify. If a tree, shadow or older image obscures an edge, treat the measurement as approximate and explain the uncertainty to your contractor.
Trace the clearing area
Place points along the driveway boundary, including a point at each change in direction. Follow the area you actually want cleared rather than outlining the entire property. Finish the shape and review it before saving.
The tool calculates the area from the mapped outline. Check that the shape does not accidentally include the lawn, garage roof or public road. If walkway clearing is needed, use the walkway option and describe any extra work in your request.
Save the measurement and review your range
Click Next to save the completed driveway outline. The saved area feeds the seasonal planning estimate. You can then continue to contractors whose published coverage matches the property area.
Driveway size is one input, not a final contractor price. Access, service inclusions and the company’s terms also matter. Use the estimate to prepare for the conversation, then ask your chosen companies to confirm their own pricing. If you change the address, measure the new property before choosing quote recipients.
